What a great week of outfits! I don’t think I’ve seen anyone style orange better… ESPECIALLY not more than once in a week! The spring goth outfit with the puff sleeve velour jacket is such a cool and creative look, and the red and turquoise adidas was also such a great combination of colours and contrasting styles (you are the queen of weird adidas for sure 🤩), but my favourite look of all was definitely the burrito birthday outfit. So many incredible pieces that could easily act as statements on their own, yet you styled them so perfectly together that they don’t fight each other at all and actually mutually enhance instead. The fringe jacket is exactly the sort of leather jacket style I’d like to add to my own wardrobe, and I’m fairly determined to find the perfect one secondhand!
Really enjoyed reading this post, and have certainly been taking notes on all the vintage details you included 🤓
Maddy, what a sweetheart you are! Thank you for this lovely comment.💕 You’re spot on—every piece I wear is special and its own statement. I have multiple fringed jackets…can’t settle on one, haha! So glad you’re here!🤘
You do such a great job of styling statement pieces in so many different ways! I’m definitely feeling the urge to snag a fringed jacket myself after seeing both you and @Tina Boetto wear them so well recently… and it’s always fun to have something specific on the thrifting wish list. Happy to be here 😊
I just loved everything about Wednesday - the peplum denim, the brooches, the plaid pants, the kitty! And you birthday burrito outfit was also a highlight - I really loved the jacket and the boots and the skirt…all of it! And your mom has some mad posing skills.
oh i LOVE the skirts this round! the balloon one is such a cool structure, but that iridescent one from Birthday Burrito Bash???? and i will absolutely be adding Babette to ny ebay hunts! seems we were both light on footnotes this week 💗💗
I’ve given love to your long-skirted outfits on your blog so what stuck with me from this post is…ONLY 1 FOOTNOTE!!! Hazaah! I kind of missed them because sometimes, by the end of a post, it’s fun to reread the footnotes as if they were the entire narrative. I find that entertaining. :-)
I don't know which I like more, the soft pumpkin sweatshirt and white skirt or the up-dated Goth, which looks pretty sophisticated. I recently "tried" something new, all because of watching your ongoing fashion show -- I matched a short gauzy dress to knee length tights and added a wide elastic belt. It was totally off the beaten path for me. I was afraid that I'd look like I was trying too hard, but honestly, I felt pretty comfortable.Just an old crone, looking to turn a few heads with a little magic. Always love the read and the pictures of your wardrobe. And I'm grateful for the pics of the kitties too. I just want to snuggle them both. Big hugs, my friend.
You style orange so well!!! Love the turquoise and hot pink combos, and I'm all about the splatter print of that red and blue skirt. I also know what you mean about sad garments. I will always associate a certain t-shirt and jacket with my soul dog. They carry her spirit 🥲
Oh, this is a tough one...Fin-Spired or Birthday Bash! I think Birthday Bash wins with the suede fringe! I consider myself a fashion chameleon, but I am definitely a maximalist at heart. If someone doesn't like what I'm wearing, that's totally on them. Mostly, I get compliments on my colorful looks!
Wow! A great week of wonderful and inspiring outfits! Spring is one of your seasons, just loved so much here. Especially inspired by the great leather jackets, I need more of that in my life!
“Shoes my husband hates”, I’ve got a few of those. Mind you, the same goes in reverse.
That’s an outstanding jacket, it’s got the perfect balance of individual, witty, and flare. I love how you have styled it and I’m a fan of those trousers on you. I’m sure there’s a corresponding fish out there.
I also very much like the cropped jacket and long skirt silhouette and colours. It’s a classic but with enough “Sheila” to make entirely yours.

Thank you Maddy. Sheila does the most with her statement pieces, it’s so impressive to see 💚
Your boys are heart-meltingly adorable and your outfits inspirational! As always.
Thank you so much! Honoured to inspire.🥰
Oh Lord, your outfits and your finds were so good this week, I’m sore tempted to go thrifting myself…! But NO! 😘
I love how strong you are, Ang! 🤘
You’re a bad influence 😉 but you did inspire me with an idea… I’ll keep it a secret, but I can’t wait for you to read about it!!!
I’m an enabler, for sure, and it’s only bad influence if the result is bad! 😁 Excited to see what you do!!!
Oh yes, that’s a much better term, an enabler!! Or a pusher, if you’re into Mean Girls, as I obviously am.
Spring is the perfect time for fringe! Lovely outfits as always - really digging the pink trousers and all the swooshy skirts!
I so agree, JoAnn! I am a sucker for pink plaid, and never met a swoosh I didn’t like.🤘

Thank you so much, Gillian! 💕 I like outfits with lots going on, haha. She’s a ham, I totally get it from her!🤘
Fabulous as ever. I’ve never seen a denim plaid fish look better. 🧡🫶🏼
Best Denim Plaidfish ever, Margaret! 🤘Thank you!💕

Right? Classic 00s fabric right there. I totally whiffed on the footnotes…🤘
Love those groovy boots!
Thank you, Janet!💕
I love, love, love those silver boots! Give the kitties kisses from me😘
Thanks, Pamela! Kitty hugs back!🥰

I kinda forgot about the footnotes, and I was eager to be done. They’ll be back, thanks, Laurie!💕

Oh, that’s awesome, Stephanie! I’m so happy you tried something new! Who cares if it looks like you’re trying? Hard work takes effort!
The kittens would snuggle right back! They are very cuddly. Thank you for being here, my friend.💕

Aw, thank you, Maria!💕 Yes, we carry little parts of our dearest furry friends in our hearts, don’t we?🥹
I think all of your great turquoise must have influenced my decision to wear a couple of turquoise bracelets this morning.
I love turquoise! I’m so glad you loaded it on, Terra!🤘🩵

Thank you, Marsha! I’m also a chameleon—why get stuck in a rut? Good for you!🤘

You’re getting what you wished for Susan, I’ll be wearing leather jackets all week. Thanks so much for your kind words! 💕

Same!
I adore a weird jacket, looking forward to styling it with one of my denim mermaid skirts! 🤘I appreciate your fishy approval, thanks, Julia!
